Borderline Buddies

I have exciting news!! I got a new job. I’m going to be doing the same job I have been for the past eight years, just back at the newest facility, and it’s more hours. And mostly DAY SHIFT!! I had a look at the schedule as well, looks like about 6 hour shifts for the most part. Totally Ok! I have a LOT of weekends off (always nice too). I start next week. Which means my daughter will be in daycare earlier in the mornings, but once school is done for the day shes all mine!! Ok well ours.

So since it’s January we are still working on new product found in the Occasions Mini or the Sale-a-bration catalogs. So head on over to Susan’s blog: http://www.susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca  to see what she worked on this week.

So of course I cased this from: http://stampinbythesea.com/oh-so-succulent This was the first time I had a chance to use this stamp set. It was the one set that was in our bags at OnStage Local back in November. Now this set is a Bundle (which we only got the stamps for) I hand cut all the extra flowers on this card.

Items used:

Stamp set: So Succulent

Cardstock: Whisper White, Pop of Pink DSP, So Saffron

Ink: Mint Macaroon, So Saffron, Bermuda Bay

Well, it’s the second week in January here. Up here in Prince George BC we are sitting in the sub-zero temperatures again. Tonight (Tuesday) as I’m writting this post its already -20 degrees, when the morning comes it will have gotten down as low as -30 (give/take) plus the windchill  😥  So not only is it cold outside, but it also is cold in my basement Stampin’ Studio  😕  which means I’m not getting a whole lot done.

Hey how was you’re Christmas? Santa treat you right? We had a fairly quiet one here. I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned that I have a daughter. She is six years old.  She gets excited about Santa and Christmas, however come Christmas day she lets us sleep in til like eight am in the morning. My husband and I have said there was no way in heck when we were kids that we would leave our parents sleep that late on Christmas morning. Oh yes, and this year was the first year my hubby “had to” build something in the evening to have ready for Christmas morning. Not bad.

Moving along—-

It’s the last WEDNESDAY of the YEAR!!!

borderling buddies

I talked to Susan last week, we decided that we are moving on….. NEW PRODUCT!! OCCASIONS and SAB catalogs will be going live, January 4th.  So here is you’re first look at some of the new product. Susan and I were both able to attend OnStage Local which is our new “smaller” version of Convention. Stampin’ Up! is still doing a main OnStage Live presentation–depends on what market they are going to as to where it will be located. I believe the next OnStage Live is in Amsterdam. There will always be one in the North American Market–Held in Salt Lake City UT once a year. This onstage Local that I attended was in Vancouver–and we combined it with a trip to my specialist.

So head over to Susan’s blog: http://www.susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca to see what new  toys she’s been playing with! I of course CASE pretty near everything I use–no exception this time. I found an idea that our Co-founder Shelli made for Onstage Live.

Christmas Borderline Buddies

Hi friends,  it’s Borderline Buddies time again. I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe New Year.

borderling buddies So last week I posted pictures of the tags I made for a swap I signed up for. I dropped them off today at the receivers house today. Ya she was a local 🙂 Anyways she saw the tags and said OMG those are beautiful. They are NOT going on ANY presents!! Please just throw mine in the garbage. I was sad to hear her say that I should throw them out.  I guess next time I will be making them less professional?? I guess.

img_1056 These are the tags she sent me. I feel they are ok.

Moving on. Head over to Susan’s blog to see what Christms project she created this week. http://www.susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca I of course made more tags. I used these on my daughter’s teacher’s gifts. We made up two bags, as she has her teacher, then they have a helper who comes in to help out, I believe her title is education aide. She is British, and the teacher says “it’s just like having Mary Poppin’s coming in to read a story to the class each week” She gave my daughter several hugs during the last day of school and came out and gave one to me too.

Are you in the Holiday spirit yet? My family and I went to the annual Festival of Trees here on Sunday. It was family day there as well as the city light up night. Which it would have been nice to have seen the city light up however someone in our party (my darling daughter) pitched a fit after her skating lessons so we packed up and went home. This is the second week in a row where she’s done this! Oh well. She’s starting to learn that she doesn’t get to do fun things after she’s done that. Anyways I need to get my living room cleaned up and the tree up by this Saturday as I have ladies coming over for the 2nd annual cookie exchange!! I can’t wait to have the ladies over.

borderling buddies

This week is pretty simple. I said to Susan, how about a Christmas card? So head over to Susan’s blog: http://www.susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca to see what she created over there.

borderling buddies

So after speaking with Susan, and knowing that we both have snow or its snowing in both of our areas, we agreed to make something with Snowmen on it. Well I’m not sure how much snow Susan has right now but my card pretty much sums it up for us right now. So check out what Susan created over at her blog: http://www.susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca

Now my “punch art” I have cased I though it was a cute idea. I think I saw it done over on Frenchie’s blog  http://www.frenchiestamps.com/

It’s begining to look a lot like Christmas….. As I’m posting this post (Tues Nov 15) its starting to snow. We are suppose to be getting about 2 cm overnight and another 2 cm tomorrow. After having a few weeks where its been nice and sunny, record breaking warm…..

borderling buddies

So this week, I messaged Susan asking what should we make this week. Last week we did the Christmas tags. I gave her a couple of options. She decided Gift card holders. Ok I told her. Now, as many of you know I have been teaching two different classes with the West Bowl Community Association here in PG. A Memory Keeping class (using Project Life) and the other class has been Christmas cards, tags and gift card holders.  The next two class nights are Gift Tags and Gift card holders. So these challenges have been great! Let’s head over to Susan’s blog: http://www.susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca  to see what she’s created this week. I made two different Gift card holders. I was having too much fun today. I cased both of them frpm StampingJill.com- Jill Olsen and Connie Collins.
