Borderline Buddies

Hey hope your having a great week.

Yep it’s that time of the week again!! So I’ve noticed that Susan and I either do not have the same stamp sets from the new Occasions catalog or we are not using the same sets. Unlike during the fall and Holiday catalog! So to see what my bff Susan has created this week, head on over to her blog: http://www.susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca

I had been wanting to use this set for a while. I think this is the second time I’ve used it. I cased this card (the poster created six) which I also made. I actually made these twice I have some secret sisters that I need to have cards made up for and send out each month.  I cased these from: http://www.stampyourartout.com/stampyourartout/2017/01/more-variations-on-yesterdays-card.html

Items used:

Stamp set: Lift me up (bundle)

Cardstock: Whisper White, Carried Away DSP (SAB catalog)

Ink: Night of Navy

Extras: Snail, Dimensionals, Metallic Doilies, Gold and Silver 1/8″ ribbon

I used just Whisper White cardstock, however one should use the thicker Whisper White when using it for a card base

If you order all the items listed you have more than enough to earn the DSP for FREE.

Thanks for lookin’ and have a Stampin’ day!

Hey friends, it’s the day after Valentine’s day! Did you do anything special? Not us 🙁 We decided to do a family meal out on this coming Saturday evening, as our schedules didn’t allow us time to do it today. I did receive some nice flowers. I wasn’t expecting anything.

So we are still working on some of this wonderful new product in the Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs. Head over to Susan’s blog: http://www.susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca to see what she created this week.  I had seen something over at Patty Bennett’s blog that I had wanted to case, but didn’t think I had all the tools to make it. Well turns out I need to LOOK HARDER!! I found pretty near all the items she used, I changed up one item as well, I do not own it. I am a believer in using what you have.

I had fun making this card! I have not used my embossing folderings in a really REALLY LONG time!!

Items used:

Stamp set: NONE

Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Soft Sky, Pool Party, Velium, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede

Extras: Triple Banner Punch, Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, Flourish Thinlits, Big Shot, Snail, Dimensionals, Tombow white glue, Delicate White Doilies, Occasions Catalog: Falling Petals Textured Impressions Emobssing Folder (page 51)

Well last week the groundhog saw or didn’t see it’s shadow. Depending on what part of the country you live in. I’m pretty sure that silly rodent didn’t see his shadow (he or maybe it’s a she?) As February came in like a Lion over here, and now we are subzero again 🙁 minus 25 celcius again here. Although I’m certainly glad I don’t live in Chilliwack BC, where last friday, it snowed there, …… and as of Sunday they had close to or over three full feet of snow in the 48 hour period! Yes they are still digging out!

Anyways……

Let’s head over to Susan’s blog: http://www.susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca  to see what she created this week. We are still working with our beautiful new Occasions mini/SAB products. Theme this week is Valentine’s day. Are you feeling some love??

So this is cased, although I didn’t have all the elements I went with it anyways. I’m sorry I deleted the site that I found it on.

Items used:

Stamp set: Love Sparkles

Ink: Real Red

Cardstock: Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red Glimmer Paper

Extras: Falling Petals embossing folder, Sweetheart punch, 1 3/4 inch circle punch, Layering Circle Framelits, Snail, Dimensionals

So, Susan and I are still working with new product from the Occasions Mini. Check out what she’s created over at her blog: http://www.susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca  I created something using some supplies sent to me by one of my swap leaders. Hey happy Wednesday! Well I have just started my new job this week.  So far I’m enjoying it. Alot the same as where I was working. Now just hoping the hours are going to be fine for my daughter. This morning I had to wake her up. Most mornings she hears me and gets up. Yesterday she got up when my alarm did at 445am — yes I said am. (that was on Monday) Today (tuesday) it was 545am when I got her to wake up. It’s not like she needs to be dressed and fed before she gets to daycare. They understand that some days she will be just getting out of bed when we get there. I can pack her clothes and her breakfast and she can do those over there with her kids.

As we continue with the new Occasions catalog product. Head over to Susan’s blog: http://www.susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca  to see what she played with this week. I’m using yet a different stamp set, called Lift me Up. I cased my creation from http://chloscraftcloset.blogspot.ca/2016/11/onstage-display-cards-day-3-lift-me-up.html I changed  a couple of things, from her sample.

I have to admit that this came together rather quickly tonight. I’m hoping to get more cards made in the next two days I have off so I don’t get behind in my swaps.

Items used:

Stamp Set: Lift me Up

Ink: Momento Black, Rose Red, Blushing Bride, Wonder Wistera, Crumb Cake

Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Rose Red, Crumb Cake

Extras: Linen Thread, Snail.

Thanks for lookin’ and have a Stampin’ day!

I have exciting news!! I got a new job. I’m going to be doing the same job I have been for the past eight years, just back at the newest facility, and it’s more hours. And mostly DAY SHIFT!! I had a look at the schedule as well, looks like about 6 hour shifts for the most part. Totally Ok! I have a LOT of weekends off (always nice too). I start next week. Which means my daughter will be in daycare earlier in the mornings, but once school is done for the day shes all mine!! Ok well ours.

So since it’s January we are still working on new product found in the Occasions Mini or the Sale-a-bration catalogs. So head on over to Susan’s blog: http://www.susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca  to see what she worked on this week.

So of course I cased this from: http://stampinbythesea.com/oh-so-succulent This was the first time I had a chance to use this stamp set. It was the one set that was in our bags at OnStage Local back in November. Now this set is a Bundle (which we only got the stamps for) I hand cut all the extra flowers on this card.

Items used:

Stamp set: So Succulent

Cardstock: Whisper White, Pop of Pink DSP, So Saffron

Ink: Mint Macaroon, So Saffron, Bermuda Bay

Extras: Stapler/Staples, Linen Thread, Doilies, Dimensionals, Snail.

Thanks for lookin’ and have a Stampin’ day!

Well, it’s the second week in January here. Up here in Prince George BC we are sitting in the sub-zero temperatures again. Tonight (Tuesday) as I’m writting this post its already -20 degrees, when the morning comes it will have gotten down as low as -30 (give/take) plus the windchill  😥  So not only is it cold outside, but it also is cold in my basement Stampin’ Studio  😕  which means I’m not getting a whole lot done.

Hey how was you’re Christmas? Santa treat you right? We had a fairly quiet one here. I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned that I have a daughter. She is six years old.  She gets excited about Santa and Christmas, however come Christmas day she lets us sleep in til like eight am in the morning. My husband and I have said there was no way in heck when we were kids that we would leave our parents sleep that late on Christmas morning. Oh yes, and this year was the first year my hubby “had to” build something in the evening to have ready for Christmas morning. Not bad.

Moving along—-

It’s the last WEDNESDAY of the YEAR!!!

borderling buddies

I talked to Susan last week, we decided that we are moving on….. NEW PRODUCT!! OCCASIONS and SAB catalogs will be going live, January 4th.  So here is you’re first look at some of the new product. Susan and I were both able to attend OnStage Local which is our new “smaller” version of Convention. Stampin’ Up! is still doing a main OnStage Live presentation–depends on what market they are going to as to where it will be located. I believe the next OnStage Live is in Amsterdam. There will always be one in the North American Market–Held in Salt Lake City UT once a year. This onstage Local that I attended was in Vancouver–and we combined it with a trip to my specialist.

So head over to Susan’s blog: http://www.susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca to see what new  toys she’s been playing with! I of course CASE pretty near everything I use–no exception this time. I found an idea that our Co-founder Shelli made for Onstage Live.

Christmas Borderline Buddies

Hi friends,  it’s Borderline Buddies time again. I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe New Year.

borderling buddies So last week I posted pictures of the tags I made for a swap I signed up for. I dropped them off today at the receivers house today. Ya she was a local 🙂 Anyways she saw the tags and said OMG those are beautiful. They are NOT going on ANY presents!! Please just throw mine in the garbage. I was sad to hear her say that I should throw them out.  I guess next time I will be making them less professional?? I guess.

img_1056 These are the tags she sent me. I feel they are ok.

Moving on. Head over to Susan’s blog to see what Christms project she created this week. http://www.susan-stampinsue.blogspot.ca I of course made more tags. I used these on my daughter’s teacher’s gifts. We made up two bags, as she has her teacher, then they have a helper who comes in to help out, I believe her title is education aide. She is British, and the teacher says “it’s just like having Mary Poppin’s coming in to read a story to the class each week” She gave my daughter several hugs during the last day of school and came out and gave one to me too.
